A Rainy Morning – historia en inglés A2

Sofia left home with a red umbrella, but the rain was stronger than she expected. Water ran along the pavement, and the bus stop was already full of people with wet coats.

She saw her bus at the corner and started to walk faster. Just when she reached the stop, the doors closed. The driver did not see her, and the bus moved away into the rain.

For a moment, Sofia felt angry with herself because she had spent five extra minutes looking for her keys. Then she checked the timetable and saw that the next bus would arrive in twelve minutes.

Instead of standing there doing nothing, she took out her notebook. She wrote a short plan for the morning: call the office, answer one important email, and buy coffee after the meeting.

The next bus arrived almost on time. Sofia was still wet, but she felt more prepared. Missing the first bus had not ruined the day; it had only made her slow down.
