Amir has only forty minutes for lunch before his next meeting, so he chooses a café near the office. He orders a cheese sandwich without tomatoes and some orange juice. Because the café is crowded, he sits beside the door, where he can the clock.
When his food arrives, Amir notices immediately that something is wrong. Instead of cheese, the sandwich contains chicken, and there is a cup of tea beside it. Oddly, the table number on the receipt is correct. He hesitates for a moment, wondering whether it is worth complaining when he is already short of time.
He decides to speak up. “Sorry, I think there has been a ,” he tells the server. blaming her, he explains what he ordered. She compares his receipt with the kitchen ticket and discovers that two meals were prepared for the wrong tables.
The server apologises and promises to replace the sandwich as quickly as possible. She also offers him a drink. Amir thanks her but says that the orange juice he ordered will be fine. While he waits, he sends a short message to a colleague to confirm that their meeting will start on time.
The correct lunch arrives within five minutes. Amir eats comfortably and gets back to work without rushing. On his way out, he thanks the server for handling the mistake well. The experience reminds him that a polite, clear request can solve a problem more efficiently than an angry complaint.
