Nora has been looking for a flat for two weeks. On Saturday, she goes to see one with her brother, Leo. The building is old but clean, and the nearest bus stop is only a few minutes away. The owner meets them outside.

Inside, Nora finds a bright bedroom, a small kitchen and a living room with . The bedroom has enough space for a desk beside the window. She imagines herself reading there after work.

Leo is more interested in practical things. He checks that the work and asks whether the fridge is . The owner says it is, but explains that Nora must bring her own washing machine.

They open the windows and listen. The street is surprisingly quiet, although there is a supermarket on the next corner. Nora could walk to work in twenty minutes, which would save her money on transport.

On the way home, Leo reminds Nora to check the before making a decision. She phones the owner to ask about them. Once she has the answer, she sends a message saying that she would like to the flat.
