The New Flat

Nora needs a new flat. Today she visits a small flat with her brother, Leo. The building is near the bus stop. They meet the owner at the front door.

The flat has one bedroom, a kitchen and a living room. The bedroom is bright. There is a big window and a small desk. Nora likes to read by a window.

In the kitchen, Leo opens a cupboard. There are two cups and three plates. He looks at the fridge. “Does it work?” he asks. The owner says yes.

Nora looks at the street. It is quiet, but the supermarket is close. She can walk to work in twenty minutes. The rent is not too high.

“I like this flat,” Nora says. Leo smiles. They thank the owner. On the bus home, Nora writes a message: “I would like to rent it.”
