Laura planned a perfect beach day with her cousin: swimming, reading, and eating sandwiches on a towel near the water. The sky was clear when they left home.
When they arrived, the beach looked beautiful but uncomfortable. The wind was strong, and sand flew into Laura’s book before she finished the first page.
At first, Laura wanted to complain. She had imagined a quiet day, not a fight with a towel. Her cousin suggested moving to a small café above the beach where they could still see the sea.
They ordered lemonade and sat at an outside table. From there, the wind felt fresh instead of annoying. Laura ate her sandwich, read a little, and watched people trying to keep their umbrellas still.
The day did not match her plan, but it gave her a different kind of memory. Sometimes changing place is easier than forcing a plan to work.
